Lewis, the main character, unknowingly explores the fragility of relationships. Numbing himself in his video world. He is dropping into the rabbit hole of his imagination; continuing in time and space without interruption. He is losing himself in this netherworld, immobilized - looking through his VR glasses. What he sees becomes his reality.
Six different scenes with 7 dancers/actors on the stage and images on video screen. Flashes of video seen by him and the audience as he sits in his chair no longer able to discern fantasy from reality. Evocative and sultry. Part of the landscape or observer. What's real?
Original concept, directed and choreographed by Rina van de Kamp. Original film created by Lorie Kellogg.
40 Word Brief:

About the Company
Zion Dance Company (ZDC) began in 2002 performing in numerous festivals, Fringe Festivals, and four countries outside of the United States. ZDC creates a visceral experience with the audience by weaving together contemporary dance-theater, and often aerial dance telling unique stories - often incorporating multi-media platforms. We began as the first aerial company in California south of San Francisco. In 2007 ZDC was the first international company to teach and perform on the island of Paros, Greece, and that same year the first company to perform aerial work on stage in Central America. Our creative process involves true collaboration where the dancers, actors, lighting designer, sound engineer and apparatus get to put their stamp upon the project.
Zion Dance Company creates a visceral experience incorporating theater, contemporary and aerial dance. In addition to performances it is our goal to reach out to the community inviting people to play, think, and re-act using our multidisciplinary form of storytelling in workshops and classes.
